Why gay marriage is really a bad idea
Homosexuality is condemned in the Bible and virtually every other sacred text. Why institutionalise a changeable, unhealthy behaviour?
The Journal Science observed: “ ... No major gene for homosexuality has been found”, and The Lancet reported that gays are 18 times more likely to contract HIV than heterosexuals.
Gay marriage brings a wave of discrimination against those with traditional values. Individuals have been fired for objecting to same-sex marriage in a letter to a newspaper, or for refusing to allow a transgender man into a women’s dressing room. Christian business owners have been fined because they declined to photograph, design a wedding cake or provide flowers for a same-sex ceremony.
Once the traditional standard of man-woman marriage is breached, there is no logical place to stop. There are growing efforts to reduce “age of consent” laws. Public schools across the United States allow students to determine what gender they identify with and to pick bathrooms and showers accordingly.
Massachusetts shows what “tolerance and diversity” means after legalising same-sex marriage:
• Pro-gay propaganda is force-fed to children in schools
• Businesses can no longer operate according to their religious principles
• Doctors are fired if they raise medical concerns about homosexual behaviour
It’s not about marriage. Archives of Sexual Behaviour found nearly half of gays in so-called “committed” relationships engage publicly in sexual infidelities with multiple partners. Where gay marriage has been legal for some time, a small minority of gays actually marry. Marsha Gessen, an LGBT activist, told a gay audience that same-sex marriage is a lie.
Fighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what we are going to do with marriage when we get there.
It’s a no-brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist.
